The Cuba Cheese Museum will hold a Beer & Cheese Fest at the Musuem on October 12, 2007 from 6-8 pm. The Fest will feature two micro breweries, Southern Tier Brewing Co. and Flying Bison Brewing Co., as well as Anheuser-Busch. They will sample three to five beers each. The Cuba Cheese Shoppe will be donating four different cheeses that compliment different beers and ales. This includes a 2 1/2 year-old NY State Cheddar, Gruyere, Extra Sharp Provolone, and Smoked Gouda. Moonwinks Restaurant of Cuba will provide Bratwurst sandwiches with onions and sauerkraut, German potato salad and soft Pretzels. We will also be serving Popcorn & Beer nuts, along with homemade cheese-themed Desserts. Come and enjoy an evening of Beer, Cheese and other delicious food, and help support the Cheese Museum! Tickets are $15.00 each and can be purchased by calling 585-968-2893. We hope to see you there!

Public-spirited individuals in Cuba, New York have joined together to create a museum/education facility that tells the story of the cheese and milk industries in Western New York and beyond.

Spearheading this endeavor is Nico van Zwanenberg, a Cuba resident who has been working in the cheese industry for over 50 years. Mr. van Zwanenberg has appeared locally to promote the Cuba Cheese Museum, and would be happy to answer any questions you may have regarding it.
